APLUS

The die is cast.
The APLUS is a new comprehensive unit for the universal measurement, monitoring and power quality analysis in electrical power networks. It complements the product portfolio of indicative power measurement devices with a high-end variant. The focus is on highest Swiss quality and maximum customer benefit. The device is suited for the application in power distribution, in strongly distorted industrial environments and in building automation. Due to its high performance it is also qualified for challenging tasks in test stands. Nominal voltages up to 690V can directly be connected. The connection of the process environment is possible via Modbus communication interface, via digital I/Os or via analog outputs. The Modbus interface, a relay, a digital input and a digital output are part of the basic equipment of the device.

1 device in size 96 x 96mm for every application: Continuous, insensitive and highly precise measurement, e.g. 0.1% for U / I and 0.5S for active energy.
2 tariffs for 12 standard energy meters and up to 7 pulse counters of any kind for the central acquisition and recording of energy billing data.
3 operating counters, suited for monitoring equipments with regard to service intervals or operating times under overload condition.
4 acknowledgeable alarms with state and plain text display directly on the device, determined from up to 12 limit values or other logical states.
5 function keys for the intuitive operating of the device. Four different display modes (including free composable one's), for the optimum adaptation to the needs on-site.
6 optional I/O channels (analog outputs and / or digital I/O's) and 2 relays for connecting control systems and meters as well as for alarming purposes.

Optional components

Modbus/TCP

Rogowski coils can be fitted easily and quickly without the need to open current circuits and can cover a wide current range using switchable ranges. The solution for the APLUS can measure currents up to 3000A, needs no external integrator and selects the optimum measurement range automatically. Rogowski coils are suited for low voltage applications up to 1000V, for applications in test stands where the device under test is changed often and everywhere where there is not enough space for mounting conventional transformers.

Modbus/TCP

Bus interfaces may be used in many ways: To provide measurement data, for parameterization, service and maintenance. Since not only a control system needs to be served with measurements but additionally often an independent interface for energy management or remote / local maintenance without communication interruptions is requested, combinations of multiple interface are available as well. You may select from:

A) Modbus/RTU interface

B) Ethernet interface (Modbus/TCP)

C) Profibus DP and Modbus/RTU

D) 2 x Modbus/RTU

E) Ethernet and Modbus/RTU

SD-Card The data logger allows to record periodical and event triggered measurement data, especially load profiles, measurement fluctuations or meter readings as well as alarm states or any other incident. An SD card is used as a storage media, which allows almost unlimited recording times. Due to the huge amount of data a direct reading of the data logger is possible via Ethernet interface only. In any case the SD card can be replaced on-site and, using the appropriate PC drive, its data can then be directly imported and analyzed in the CB-Analyzer.

APLUS The version without display for top hat-rail mounting is intended for applications where no on-site display is needed. It provides the same functionality as a device with display has the same dimensions and connections and may be equipped with the same options.
